So I just came back from Jordan and before that I was in To-ky-o and both trips were awesome albeit very different.
Tokyo isn't exactly as crazy and crowded as I expected it to be. Well I mean it's crowded but since everyone walks in an orderly fashion it's not nearly as bad as Paris, which is basically just as much crowded and 10 times more chaotic. The most puzzling thing was the impressive number of cute mascots everywhere. That and catboys randomly dancing in the street...
Jordan is a beautiful country, Petra is so damn impressive and we were lucky the place wasn't too crowded. Dead Sea was fun too, although it wasn't as floaty as I thought it would be.
I ate enough chickpeas and hummus for my entire lifetime though blergh.

I got a James jean print in the mail this morning. It's what..what's the word...amazing ?
I'm getting it framed as soon as possible to make everyone jealous.
Phantom Hourglass is really fun ! Never thought the controls could be so smooth with the stylus.
And here's a couple pictures taken from the train so this post isn't completely useless.
France is so country-y :3
Oh and Nas I'm going to Jordan in december. Perhaps we can meet in Canyon of the Crescent moon and find the grail and kill some nazis together !

Spiderman 3 was the absolute worst movie ever. That pelvic thrusting scene that made me cringe like nothing else before. I am ashamed of having seen that movie.
Heroes just keeps getting better though. Episode 20 was incredible and episode 21 looks like it's gonna be even better. If things keep going this way, this first season will have a spot in my tv show top 3.

300 was awesome ! damn I've never been thrilled like that at the end of a movie since like uh...actually I don't know...Some things were kinda cheesy and they added some stuff that wasn't really necessary but who cares. And it's not that often that you they make non-cheesy looking slow-mo. And damn it was pretty.
I bought the comic immediately after, and I love it too. Damn.
And to justify this useless post, here's a photo !

I made some little Gingerbread cookies yesterday and they were great and everybody at school said they were awesome !
Other news :
I'm hating my art as of a late, I can't draw for the life of me and I really don't know what I'm gonna do after school.
But all the rest is good, it's just that school takes up about 80% of my time and I'm not liking school right now so bleh.
Back to FFXII !

Little Miss Sunshine was one of the best movies I've seen in a long long time. Go see it. So funny and heartwarming.
It's kinda funny to see Brian Cranston is another role than Hal.

After deciding that the monkey king book was way too long to work on as the stupid yearly assigment, i started writing my own story (ph34r  )
It's about a boy who befriends a stranded whale, but they friendship is IMPOSSIBLE and EVERYTHING IS SO TRAGIC AND EMO.
I got most of the visuals in my head already but I can't put it down in words, it kinda sucks.
Anyone has a fancy word for whale in their language ? The french word for whale sounds really stupid, so I was thinking of picking 'whale' in another language for the title, it'll sound good and have deep meaning !
Here's the boy, I got bored on working on this so it'll stay like that. he's supposed to have wings tattooed on his back and the mask is supposed to be Garuda, hindu bird god. OH THE SYMBOLISM!
not sure about the blue legs ... it looked cool in my head but I'm not sure now...

I just came home and found a fox sleeping on my front porch. Considering the closest forest is like a 50 miles away from my place it was pretty bizarre. I was hoping he wouldn't run away so i could take a picture but as soon as walked close to it, it made a weird yieky sound and ran away.
Are you supposed to call the police or something when you spot an unusual animal ? I mean it wasn't a tiger, but it's still a fox, in a city.

Monkey Isla...uh I mean Dead man's chest was pretty cool. Lots of great characters (mmmmm Davy Jones) and awesome SFX. I loved the ending and how it left us on a great cliffhanger for the last movie, which sounds like it's gonna kick ass.
Norrington looked so funny and Keira looked pretty hot. Too bad the whole thing felt a bit too MI-ish.

Other than that I have to pick some stories for school for a yearly project which will most likely be an illustrated book, kinda like the Grave of the fireflies thing I did this year, but bigger with much more pics and more text.
The movie made me wanna do some pirate stuff, but I don't know of any short stories that would be fun to illustrate. I already thought about Treasure Island, cause that's the first thing that came to mind, but it's a bit to uhm realistic. I'm looking for something for PotC-ish with sea-monsters, curses, ghost ships and stuff like that.
If I don't find anything piratey I'm going for the Journey to the West, the legend of the Monkey King, the chinese tale. It could be really fun too, seing as how all the characters I draw look like monkeys.
Anyways, if anyone has suggestion for stories they'd think I could illustrate, please do suggest !
